Brisbane is set to construct a new $60 million manufacturing hub which could produce COVID-19 vaccines and create 500 jobs over the next 10 years. The Queensland government will put forward $20 million from its new $1.8 billion jobs fund while the remaining $40 million will reportedly be contributed by the federal government. The hub will produce personal protective equipment in addition to vaccines which could include the COVID-19 vaccine.
