Satellite imagery showing Tropical Storm Blanca churning off the coast of Mexico was released on Wednesday, June 2, by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. NOAA Satellite and Information Service said its GOES West satellite captured Tropical Storm Blanca, as well as lightning flashes within and around the storm, from Monday to Tuesday. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Blanca strengthened from a tropical depression to a tropical storm near the southwest of Mexico on Monday. The NHC said on Tuesday that the storm was expected to slow down and weaken over the next couple days. Credit: NOAA Satellites via Storyful
