Victorian government ‘owes it to the people’ to be clear on lockdown end

Liberal MP Tim Wilson says the Victorian government owes it to the people to be clear about the basis in which they’ll end the lockdown. The lockdown, which was extended by a week, is slated to end on June 10. “When I speak to people in Victoria at the moment there is an incredible degree of frustration at the lack of clarity and the benchmarks by which the state is going to outline the end of a lockdown,” Mr Wilson told Sky News. “I think Victorians want a clear sense of confident in both the end of the lockdown but more critically that the state government has control over it so we don’t go into lockdown every time there’s one or two cases.”
