Britain’s COVID-19 spike could delay reopening

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the spike could hinder plans to lift the country's lockdown by June 21 as 6,238 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, an increase of 1,000 from the previous day. He's flagged a “cautious” easing of restrictions but says he's hopeful against a delay. The number of deaths remains relatively low at 11 in the past 24-hour period.
