The United Kingdom’s medical regulator has approved the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 12 to 15, potentially paving the way for a vaccination campaign at schools. It claims the vaccine is safe and effective in the age group and benefits outweigh any risks and the UK vaccines committee will now decide whether children should receive the jab. The Pfizer vaccine is already approved for use in people aged 16 and over.
